Do you have an AI guy?

Every owner knows AI is going to matter. Almost nobody has time to figure out where to start, because the internet is a wall of noise and you've got a business to run. I'm Max. I find where AI will actually make or save your business money, then I build it myself. You never touch the technology.

The simple math

What could an employee who works 24/7 for free do for your business?

That's what I build. Set up once, it runs around the clock: answering leads, chasing invoices, filling the schedule. No salary. No time off. Just work getting done while you sleep.

The audit is $995 flat, monthly from $2,000 (full pricing below)

Sample Audit Findings

One ordinary business

Modeled
The phone rang while everyone was busy. That caller booked someone else.$36,000/yr
Quotes that went out and never got a follow-up.$24,000/yr
Invoices past 60 days that nobody's chasing.$18,000/yr

Found in One Audit

$78,000

That was one ordinary business, one audit. The audit finds your number.

What having an AI guy looks like.

You don't have to figure out "what AI you need." That's my job, not yours. I find the money, you pick the wins, I build them.

1

The AI Audit

Flat price · about 2 weeks

I go through your operation and workflow to get a perfect understanding of everywhere you could capitalize on AI or proprietary software. I look for where money is leaking (missed calls, slow follow-up, no-shows, unbilled work, manual admin), figure out which leaks AI can plug, and put an annual number on each fix. Any repetitive tasks we find a way to automate them and get you your time back.

You get a ranked roadmap with dollar figures on it. It's useful even if we never speak again.

2

I build it

Monthly retainer · done for you

Pick the wins you want. I build, install, and run the systems myself: lead follow-up, scheduling, intake, collections, reporting, whatever your roadmap calls for. There's no software for you to learn. You don't touch any technology.

3

I prove it, monthly

One-page ROI report · no lock-in

Every month you get a one-page report in dollars: what ran, what it saved or recovered. Keep me while the math works. There are no long-term contracts, so if the numbers stop making sense you just stop.

Things I build for clients

Missed-call & lead follow-up
Scheduling & no-show recovery
Invoice & collections chasing
Quote & estimate follow-up
Front-office admin automation
Owner dashboards

Examples, not a menu. Your roadmap decides which of these your business actually needs.

Only the logo on the door changes.

I've audited HVAC companies, dental practices, property managers, and one-truck operations. The leaks are the same everywhere: the same missed calls, the same quotes going cold, the same invoices nobody wants to chase.

Across recent engagements, fixing these has been worth $64,000 to $116,000 a year per business.

The call that rings out.

You're on a job, the phone goes to voicemail, and the caller just moves down the list of Google results. Nobody ever tells you it happened.

What I build

Instant text-back and booking, so every missed call gets answered in seconds even when your hands are full.

In the audits I've run, this one's worth $20,000 to $45,000 a year, depending on how many calls you miss.

The quote that dies quietly.

You spent an hour on the estimate, sent it, and got busy. Three weeks later they went with whoever followed up.

What I build

Automatic follow-up that keeps every open quote warm until it closes or dies honestly.

Worth $15,000 to $50,000 a year in the audits I've run, depending on your average job size.

The money you've earned but haven't collected.

The work is finished and the invoice went out 60 days ago. Chasing it feels awkward, so it sits.

What I build

Polite, persistent collections that never forget an invoice and never feel embarrassed asking.

Worth $10,000 to $30,000 a year in the audits I've run, before you count the cash flow relief.

The nights you spend being the office.

Scheduling, reminders, rescheduling, data entry. All of it starts after the actual work day ends.

What I build

Admin that runs itself, so the paperwork gets done without you and you get your evenings back.

In the audits I've run this shows up as $15,000 to $35,000 a year in labor, and that's before the evenings.

Max Douthit
Max Douthit
Your AI Guy · Founder, West Side Teq

Before West Side Teq, I underwrote commercial loans. Over $110 million worth. Which meant my entire job was pulling apart businesses for a living: figuring out where the money came from, where it was leaking, and whether the operation was actually built to last. I wrote checks against those answers. That habit doesn't really go away when you leave.

On the tech side, I've been writing code for 15 years and hold a certification from the Harvard Data Science Initiative in Agentic AI. I've also operated my own businesses (real estate, software, a few side projects), so I know what it feels like to be the owner sitting across the table, not just the analyst writing up the report.

Most AI consultants understand the tech but not the business, and most business consultants can't write the code. You need both in one person, someone who can read a P&L and ship a working system in the same week. So that's the job as I see it: find where your money is leaking, put a dollar figure on every fix, build only what clearly pays for itself, and show you the proof every month.

Two things on the menu.

The audit, and then me on a monthly retainer. Everything starts with the audit. If the roadmap shows real money, hire me to build it month to month with no lock-in. If it doesn't, you keep the roadmap and we part friends.

Let's Talk

No long-term lock-in. I earn next month by what this month's report says.

ROI tracked monthly. You'll always know what the systems are saving or recovering.

No technical knowledge required. I handle every piece of it myself.

I only take projects I can deliver. The first call tells us both if there's a fit.

Every engagement starts with a free 30-minute call. No commitment, no pitch deck.

Questions I hear most often.

Straight answers. If something isn't covered here, ask me on the call.

What does an "AI guy" actually do?

Think of what your accountant does for taxes. Same idea: I own an area you don't have time to master. I find where AI can make or save your business money, build the systems myself, run them, and report what they earned in actual dollars. You get the results without having to become a tech person.

I don't know what AI I need. Is that a problem?

It's exactly who this is for. You're not supposed to know. The audit answers that question: it tells you specifically where AI will make or save you money in your business, ranked by dollar value. You never have to pick from a menu of technology you don't have time to research.

How are you different from AI consultants?

I start with your P&L, not a product demo. Most AI shops show up with a tool and go looking for a problem it fits. I do it backwards: find where your business is losing money first, put a dollar figure on each fix, then build only what pays. And I actually build. Working systems running in your business, not a strategy deck and a handshake.

How fast does this move?

The audit takes about two weeks, so you'll know your number fast. If you continue, the first systems are usually live within 60 days, with the biggest dollar wins built first. From the day a system turns on, it shows up in your monthly report.

What if it doesn't deliver?

Then you'll see it in the report and you can walk. I track every system's results monthly, in dollars, and there are no long-term contracts. I also do honest math up front: if the audit shows the numbers don't justify building, I tell you that and you keep the roadmap. I'd rather lose a project than fudge a projection.

Do I need to be technical?

No. I design, build, install, and run everything. Your team keeps working the way they already work, and the systems slot in around them. The only thing you ever have to read is a one-page monthly report with dollar figures on it.
